As the final session wrapped up on the last Saturday of May, the impact of the clinic was evident in the smiles, high-fives, and newly mastered tricks showcased by the participants. What started as a month-long program has laid the groundwork for a thriving, inclusive skate culture among the youth in Johor.
The organizers emphasized that this is far from the end of the road. Plans are already in motion to establish more frequent meetups, advanced coaching clinics, and grassroots competitions to keep these young skaters engaged and motivated.
With the continued partnership between Showroom and Kelab Skateboard Selatan, the local community can expect even bigger initiatives designed to provide safe spaces and structured growth for the sport. For the 36 young skaters who took part this May, the journey has just begun—and the future of the local skateboarding scene looks brighter, faster, and more resilient than ever.
